Questions we get asked

Why is there no add to cart button?

Because the price on a product page is a guide, not a final figure. What you pay depends on the country we are delivering to and on how far your piece moves from the standard build — size, drop, finish, or a change to the design. Tell us those things and we send you one number, landed at your door.

Is anything added at checkout?

No. Import duty and taxes are already inside the figure we quote, and there is nothing added on top — no customs invoice, no surprise at the door.

How long does it take?

Six to eight weeks for most pieces: three to four weeks on the bench, then sea freight. Air freight is possible when you are against a deadline — ask and we will price it.

How do I pay?

Half when you order, which puts the piece into production, and half when it is finished and filmed, before it ships. Payment is by card through our store, or by bank transfer for larger orders.

Can you make it bigger, longer, a different finish?

Usually yes. Drop length is made to your ceiling as standard. Diameter and finish come from the options on each piece, and beyond that we can change glass, metal and often the shape itself. Custom work changes the price and the lead time, and we quote both before anything starts.

Is it safe, and is it legal to install here?

Yes. Pieces for the UK and the EU are built to 220–240 V against BS EN 60598, the standard for luminaires, using drivers and lampholders with their own certification. As the company placing them on the market we issue the declaration of conformity and hold the technical file, and the paperwork travels with your order. Your electrician can ask us for it before installation.

Where are the pieces made?

In Zhongshan, Guangdong province — mostly in Guzhen, the town that accounts for around 70% of China's decorative lighting. We visit the workshops in person rather than buying through a trading company.

What if it arrives broken?

We replace it at our cost. Photograph the crate and the piece within 72 hours of delivery and message us.

Is it wired for my country?

UK and EU pieces are 220–240 V. US orders are built as a separate 120 V version (nominal US mains, 110–127 V).

Do you work with interior designers?

Yes, and it is most of what we do. See the trade page, or message us about a project.
